The Cotswold Water Park.
The Dolls House is in the middle of the Cotswold Water Park. With over 132 lakes created by gravel extraction. These lakes are perfect for walkers, bird watchers photographers and outdoor enthusiasts.
The Thames Path
The Thames Path opened in 1996 and follows one of the country's best known rivers as it meanders from its source just outside Cirencester and with easy access from Kemble Railway Station.
Before you reach the small Saxon town of Cricklade (where the right of upstream navigation ends) you will pass through the middle of the Cotswold Water Park with its landscape of gravel extraction. Just outside Cricklade the Thames Path skirts around the edge of North Meadow where you can usually find the Snake's Head Fritillary flowers in vast numbers towards the end of April. It is at Weavers Bridge were one comes off the Thames Path and heads for The Dolls House.
For a small fee luggage can be taken on to Lechlade. For walkers only evening meal can be provided if booked in advance.
